Yaeyama Chlorella is a subspecies of Chlorella vulgaris, a single-celled, fresh water algae. Yaeyama Chlorella is grown in the environmentally pristine coral reef region of Japan’s Ishigaki Island.   Yaeyama Chlorella is ecologically grown in mineral-rich mountain spring water in the pure air and sunshine, without any herbicides or pesticides.  Concentration and purity meet the most rigorous Japanese health standards. Chemical analysis of Yaeyama chlorella has shown that it has no detectable levels of  mercury, lead, arsenic, or tin.  It also has no detectable levels of agricultural pesticide and herbicide residues.

Yaeyama Chlorella cell walls are broken by high impact jet-spray drying.  Spray drying cracks the Chlorella cell wall allowing access to the nutrients in Chlorella. Without this process most the the nutrients in Chlorella would be inaccessable to us. It is NOT freeze dried as freeze drying destroys the beneficial enzymes. Yaeyama's uses its own patented jet spray dry process guarantees that you get full nutrition from Chlorella, by gently cracking the individual cell walls without damaging the nutrients inside.  

Yaeyama Chlorella cell walls are broken by high impact jet-spray drying that pulverizes the algae wall for increased absorption of its vital nutrients.
