Autistic children are typically deficient in key minerals important for normal body function.  Our liquid minerals, suspended in water, are easily absorbable. Zinc, magnesium, selenium, and molybdenum are frequently of benefit to children in the autism spectrum.  These minerals are provided in an easy-to-take liquid concentrate which may be added to drinks.

Recommended dose

The recommended dosage is provided on the bottle for each mineral and varies from mineral to mineral.  All of the minerals are to be diluted in a drink that includes Vitamin C and/or is an acid fruit juice such as orange juice or pineapple juice. Multiple minerals may be combined in a single drink.

The dosage information per serving is as follows:

Mineral Amount of Mineral Per Serving Drops Per Serving Servings Per 2 oz. Bottle % Daily Value
Potassium  20 mg 13 60 .06%
Selenium  200 mcg 3 265 285%
Zinc  4.6 mg 7 114 45%
Magnesium  22 mg 10 80 .07%
Molybdenum  75 mcg 3 265 100%
Chromium 500 mcg 5 160 415%
Manganese 1.7 mg 7 114 85%
Copper  0.5 mg 4 200 25%

Mineral Taste Test

Many parents and clinics have used these liquid minerals to perform a Mineral Taste Test  to identify mineral deficiencies in their children/patients.  You can either purchase one of the kits we offer, which comes with full instructions and test bottles to mix the minerals in, or purchase the minerals without the kit and use the instructions we have provided below to create your own taste test kit.

To make your own taste test kit:

1.  Get one disposable cup for each mineral you are testing.  Label each cup with the name or number of the mineral you are testing, using tape and/or a marker.

2.  Add the number of drops recommended on the label of the liquid mineral you are testing to the empty cup for the mineral you are testing.  The amount recommended varies from mineral to mineral.  Repeat this for each mineral you are testing.

If you are testing Magnesium, also add a pinch of vitamin C (powered ascorbic acid), which you may obtain from a local health food store.  Only a pinch is needed; too much vitamin C will not allow you to taste and accurately evaluate the Magnesium.

3.  Add 8 oz. of distilled water to each cup.  It is important that the water be distilled so that no other minerals or contaminants are present in the water.

To use the taste test kit:

1.  Swirl the first mineral around in your mouth.

2.  Give the mineral a rating, based on the table below:

Rating #

Description Recommendation
1 tastes sweet strongly need
2 tastes pleasant strongly need
3 no taste need
4 taste something don't need
5 tastes so-so don't need
6 don't like don't need
7 tastes terrible don't need

3:  Write down the results in a table, such as the one below to record your results:

Mineral

Description

Rating (1-7)

1 Potassium Phosphate
2 Zinc Sulfate
3 Magnesium Chloride
4 Copper Sulfate
5 Chromium Chloride
6 Manganese Gluconate
7 Ammonium Molybdate
8 Sodium Selenite

4.  The ultimate goal is to eventually have a score of 4, meaning you are no longer deficient in these minerals.  Most people test at 3.

5.  You may then use the minerals that have rated 1-3 on a daily basis with your child, according to the dosage recommendations provided on the bottle for each mineral.

6.  Every month or so, retest to see if tastes have changed.
